Why is it important to have the right stylist?

When you get a service done for you, whether it is painting your house or controlling pests or whatever, you want the service to be good. Actually, you want the service to be excellent! But what makes great service?

In my experience, a service provider that listens to what I need and then works on getting that done is even better than the most talented provider who does not listen. I’ll pick the former almost any day because I know they will work with me until it is right.

This is especially important when it is a service done on you! Whether it’s for your hair, skin, nails, or whatever, the service needs to be what you want, not what the service provider wants. Though they should always give their opinion to make aware any potential concerns, ultimately it is what you, the client, wants to do that is important.

When you can get someone who is a great listener as well as talented, then you get the best deal. That’s what I try to be. I want you to have a fantastic experience. I know I can provide the service you want (a color or haircut or whatever) but I work hard on really trying to listen to what you need and want for your hair.

Lindsey came to me really wanting a new look. She knew what she wanted, but she had already had several bad experiences with prior hairdressers not listening to her what she wanted for her hair nor to the concerns she had about the style and color changes. This resulted in less than satisfactory experiences with these other stylists.

We worked together to decide on a good course of action, not moving forward until her concerns were satisfied. Together, we decided on her highlight colors and strength and decided to cut 7 inches off her hair length. I also cut some beautiful layers to give her hair more volume, control and texture!
